To use the multiple retention % functionality follow the below steps.<\/p>\n<p>Under the Project card page enter the required details, add tasks and planning lines to it. <\/p>\n<p><b><u>Note:<\/u><\/b> On the Project card, it is mandatory to enter the \u201cContract Date\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/ch-05-multiple-retention-percentages1.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Create a Progress Billing and update the lines using \u201cGet Billings\u201d function.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/ch-05-multiple-retention-percentages2.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While importing the lines, the system will display a message <i>\u2018Should the Project J04630 card be updated to show that it is part of progress bill J04630?\u2019,<\/i> for master project and sub-project and user can click on \u2018Yes\u2019 for both Master Project &#038; Sub-Project.<\/p>\n<p>Second message will get displayed as \u2018Is project J04630 a change order for Progress bill J04630?\u2019, where user can opt to click on \u2018No\u2019 for Master and Sub-Projects. Click on \u2018Yes\u2019 in case of importing the change order lines.<\/p>\n<p>Once lines are imported it will automatically populate the field \u201cContract Forecast Date\u201d as you have mentioned \u201cContract Date\u201d on Project card.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Note:<\/u><\/b> In case of the sublevels (Change Order, Sub Project) Contract Date can be entered on the Progress Billing lines before creating the sales invoice and the AIA report will consider the \u201cContract Forecast Date\u201d to indicate if the Change order is added in the current or previous period.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/ch-05-multiple-retention-percentages3.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In this example, the Retention % is different for Master Project (10% Retention) and for Sub Project (12% Retention), so to calculate retention, enable the Boolean of \u201cMultiple Retention % on Lines\u201d from the General fast tab.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/ch-05-multiple-retention-percentages4.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter the percentage in the \u201cQuantity\u201d column, see below.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/ch-05-multiple-retention-percentages5.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter the \u201cWork Retention Percent\u201d on both the lines for retention calculation.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/ch-05-multiple-retention-percentages6.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the Retention fast tab, the field \u201cWork Retention Amount\u201d will show the total of Work Retention for all the lines.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/ch-05-multiple-retention-percentages7.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On a sales invoice, the Boolean \u201cMultiple Retention on Lines\u201d will become true automatically. The \u201cRetention %\u201d and \u201cRetention Amount\u201d on the lines of the sale invoice, will flow from the Progress Billing page for each line. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/ch-05-multiple-retention-percentages8.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the Retention fast tab, there would be no value mentioned on field \u201cRetention Percent\u201d, when Multiple Retention % is enabled. All the retention amount for each line will be added and be shown on field \u201cRetention Amount\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/ch-05-multiple-retention-percentages9.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can also run the \u201cCombined CO AIA G702 and AIA G703\u201d report from the progress billing to view the details and analyze the billing, see below.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/user-guide\/wp-content\/themes\/userguide\/images\/ch-05-multiple-retention-percentages10.png\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The \u201cOriginal Contract Sum\u201d shows contract amount as combined value of Master Project and Sub Project.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cAmount of Completed Work\u201d shows all the work amount that is been completed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Contents MULTIPLE RETENTION PERCENTAGE MULTIPLE RETENTION PERCENTAGE In a Progress Bill, the user can enter different retention percentages for each line.
